Travelling Without Moving!
author: Kristian Persson
I came across this beautifully crafted CD while browsing CDBABY for new Ambient/New Age music. And I can’t say I’m disappointed a bit!. This release contains a strong versatile mix of tunes, with everything ranging from ambient and atmospheric synth layers to a more uptempo trance music feel. I don’t know how Rick managed to combine all these beautiful elements the way he did it, but I do know this. If you like ‘Tangerine Dream’ and ‘Future World Orchestra’, then this album is definetely for you!. Even some ‘Serrie’ sounding synth textures can be heard, especially on the first track ‘TimeSpaceContinuum’, which is one of the best pieces on the disc after the incredibly spacey (and TD sounding) ‘Heaven’s Path’, a track that has some incredibly stunning and swooshing synth layers that will capture your ears before you know it!. The whole CD is an infectious thrillride through the many aspects of the EM ‘scene’ and will take you to otherworldly places in the universe with it’s majestic and spacey sound and feel. It’s like travelling without moving!. All in all, this is a well crafted epic release full of lush sounds not of this earth, created by a very unique artist that I will be looking forward to in the future!. So what can I say? Another must-buy!!

When day came to its end
Do not have any regrets
Rush to the new dawn
Without pain and fear
It is impossible to define the style of Rick Rascati’s music. The artist combines new age with sometimes sweet, sometimes dark ambient and adds techno and world grooves to his creative work. The result is full of energy and a slightly enigmatic music which can be listened to as a good background in the bustle of the day or can completely capture the listener in the middle of deep night.
The music of “Skywatcher” paints views of the night sky with flaring sparkles of multitudinous stars. And, it also brings the refreshing coolness of Summer night.
Listen to “Skywatcher” and experience a flight of your own imagination with the lush and evoking music of Rick Rascati.

Rick Rascati is a very talented up and coming artist in the New Age genre. If you own his compilation "Aural Paintings" then you're fully aware of this already. Rick's talents are so immense that no matter what style or feel he's is trying to communicate to the listener, the listener literally feels as if they're having an out of body experience. I was totally pumped to hear Rick's first full length theme piece and he delivered. Skywatcher is exactly what it sounds like, a journey through space. When your done listening to this cd you'll feel as if you've visited each and every solar system, discovered there is life on Mars and shook the hands of Mr. Gene Rodenberry himself. I strongly recommend this CD if you're a fan of New Age, Sci-Fi, Tangerine Dream or you just can't afford space travel at the moment. Rick delivers here and it's well worth the $13 investment.
