Album Notes

BOB RASERO

Bob Rasero has been playing guitar since he was ten years old when he
inherited his grandfather's Gibson archtop. Teaching himself by watching others and listening, he seemed to always gravitate towards going his own way with his music and eventually found that writing songs and playing them with his own band was where he was most comfortable.
Playing clubs, parties, dances, weddings and every imaginable situation throughout the New York scene was his greatest teacher. It wasn't until he hooked up with the legendary Coco and The Incredible Squirt Band however, that Bob found his niche as a writer. The country-rock and irreverent humor of "Squirt" was the perfect place for his ideas to form and grow, culminating as finalists two years in a row for The Marlboro Country Music Showcase at NYC's Bottom Line. Soon after, he hooked up
with Loft Recording Studio's Al and Ted Hemberger and old high school buddy Bob Mayo of Peter Frampton fame and started giging and writing with the Bergers With Mayo outfit.
In 1990, Bob moved to Portland, Maine with his family and created The Renovators with local musicians. Not willing to lose contact with his New York roots, traveling back and forth became a regular pastime and eventually the New York lineup of the band became a permanent recording and performing unit with four CD's to their credit. Thanks to the internet, their songs are played all over the world and can even be heard on National TV's "All My Children" and "The Young And The Restless ".
Bob continues to write and perform in the NY and Portland area and his most recent solo CD "Behind The Wheel" is heard regularly on Portland radio.
