First I heard Jaurena on 1995 CD Cabute of New York Tango Trio. Quejas de Bandoneon from that CD became my favorite version of this tango, IMHO, it has the best bandoneon solo of this tango.
Te Amo Tango has a collection of tangos written mostly by Jaurena himself and, yes, some of them are beautifully dancable and played by the top notch musicians, such as young pianist Octavio Brunetti. Not to reduce the importance of other musicians in the group, but this CD sounds so gorgeous and rich precisely because the important tango instruments - bandoneon and piano - are played by the superb modern maestros.

My husband introduced me to tango music when I meet him and he took me to Argentina. It so happens that my husband is a childhood friend of Mr. Juarena and I have had the pleasure of meeting him his lovely wife and daughter and he is truly a wonderful human being and a great great bandoneonist. To anyone that has not heard Te Amo Tango to buy this right away.
