Ravi is an accomplished singer/songwriter who shot to worldwide fame at a young age as the guitarist for the '90's band Hanson, playing guitar in front of millions of screaming teenage fans in scenes reminiscent of "Beatlemania." Hanson's triple Grammy nominated chart-topping song "MmmBop" catapulted the band into the music stratosphere, taking Ravi to stages at the White House, Jay Leno, David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, Rosie O'Donnell, and Madison Square Garden, as well as the Louisiana Superdome as a solo artist. His autobiographical book written on tour as guitarist of that year's top-selling band in the world was published by Simon & Schuster. His voice has been likened to a young Steve Winwood or Peter Frampton.
In addition, Ravi's frequent "Integrity" based lectures and articles have positioned him as one of the most outspoken advocates for social responsibility in the industry. He is also a pilot and an aviation activist, writer, and speaker, bringing a little "rock 'n' roll" into aviation.
Ravi, born in Washington, DC and raised near New York City, is a member of the Nehru-Gandhi family, India's political family dynasty who governed the world's largest democracy for over 40 years and continues to exert strong influence today.

"He consistently puts out quality guitar-laden music that has nothing to do with image or sunglasses. The music is independent of money and trends, full of background and passion." - Truly Hollywood
"Catchy pop tunes with memorable hooks and choruses and a glassy voice that calls to mind old Steve Winwood or Peter Frampton LPs" - Chris Rose, Times Picayune (New Orleans)
"Beyond the Blur is a showcase of (Ravi's) skills as a writer. It's a tasteful, intelligent record."
- Alex Rawls, Offbeat Magazine
"Good looks, a terrific voice, and...an imaginative flair for great arrangements" - John Swenson, United Press International

Awesome music, awesome person
author: Ronnie
I met Ravi at a music conference recently, and he seemed like a really cool and smart guy. I figured his CD might convey the same thing, and it does! The songs are so intellegently written but really easy and nice to listen to. It's great meeting an artist who has the ability to convey his love for life and art through his music. Makes me feel great everytime I listen to it.

Good stuff

I like the CD, but was hoping for more guitar solos and extended band jams like at the live show. Still, songs are songs and there are plenty of good ones on this disc.

Awesome songs and awesome band! Definitely the best rendition of "Imagine" I ever heard. Ravi's a talented songwriter and singer...a great listen from beginning to end, rare to find that in a CD these days!
