Album Notes

The Ravyns burst all over the eighties rock scene with their hit single "Raised On The Radio" from the feature film Fast Times At Ridgemont High. High energy eighties pop rock, the quintet featured frontmen-writers Rob Fahey (guitar, vocals) and Kyf Brewer (keyboard, vocals), as well as Lee Townsend (bass, vocals), David Bell (guitar, vocals), and Tim Steele (drums, vocals).

This, their debut album is now a classic CD, and includes four previously unreleased tracks - "Give Me One Chance" and "Love Or Suicide", both recorded in 1985 - and two versions of "I'm A Rav'n Maniac", recorded in 1996 by the original group members.

Hailing from Baltimore, The Ravyns now have a football team named in their honor.

I still have my original album and have made many tapes from it over the years ! Listening to the Ravyns reminds me of very happy times in my life ! I remember back in the 80's one of the members of the group had a sports memorabilia store in White Marsh Mall right across from where I worked and when I was in high school they played a mixer at Calvert Hall and my friend and I got to kiss Dave Bell - it was the highlight of our lives and we still talk about that night- even after all these years !!! This is such a great album- I just have to have it on CD now ! I'm so glad I stumbled onto this site ! Take care guys- you rock !!!

I was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds Edgewood Arsenal in 1985. Fell in love with The Ravyns music the first time I heard "Don't Leave Me This Way" and went out and bought the cassette. Well that cassette did not make it many years as I wore it out playing it so much! I was so happy to see the album came out on CD and have to have it. Just a fantastic song that brings back memories of some of the greatest times in my life.
