Founded in the summer of 2001 by frontman and songwriter Sean Haythe, Rawson quickly became known for their high energy live performance and multiple genre blended style of music. Lead guitar player Jimi Sharp and Sean have a natural stage prescence that is electrifying. Holding down the rhythm section is "Mr. Fabulous" Edwin Alvarado on bass and Rob Roman on drums. The IBF Publishing Co. helped define the sound of this band after reviewing a few of their songs, which stated. "A modern day road house band. Rocking blues guitar and soulful vocals are the highlights." "I bet they are amazing live!" Though known mainly as a rock/funk band, Rawson likes to label their genre as rock-n-roll/soul. Influences are The Stones, Prince, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lenny Kravitz, The Chili Peppers and Living Colour. Jon Flanagan of Flanagan Radio Promotions review of the new record stated. "Rawson takes you on a musical ride you don't want to get off."
