With more adult themes to sing about, Ray wrote every song on the album with the exception of the David Gates/Bread hit “Guitar Man.” From the beautiful acoustic guitar opening on “Mexico” to the closing instrumental “Gibson’s Theme,” Parker takes the listener on a heartfelt journey that is both musically stunning and lyrically moving. Love this sound from Ray and it is awesome! I have been following this man since his inception (musically, that is! Every person that he has worked with, supported, backed up, created for, that gave him a chance, I have loved them, listened to them and purchased their albums, 8- tracks, cassettes and CDS and because of that, I have exposed this talent that turns my head whenever his voice or music hits my ears and I have seen beautiful sight in his early days with his big fro backing someone up with his sound. This is a welcomed change and these sounds, tracks, and grown & sexy lyrics are laid plain and all the way Ray! I love his words as always and his new mix of Reggae, Jazz, Latin.... - Oh my God! This is off the chain! No one paid me to say this either because I will never accept pay to say cuz it ain\'t never forced! Ray causes instant pleasure and praise with his sultry tenor voice, skill and composing genius. I have to disagree with the suggestion to forget or free your mind of his older hits, because my suggestion is that by holding onto ALL of him, is to just inhale every piece of his musical genius for a magical, sensual, brilliant, musical high! His skills have always laid me out! Slay me Ray, Slay me, you musical Master! Be Free to do what you will because it is a great treat! Once more, musically, Ray can do no WRONG!
