Olusegun Ray Ramon, an Australian/Nigerian Actor, Singer/songwriter and producer is based in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales.
Born 1978 in Lagos, Nigeria. Ray studied Electrical Engineering at the University Of Ibadan. In the year 2001, he traveled to Zimbabwe on the invitation of the late Deputy Prime Minister Of Zimbabwe, Simon Muzenda where he joined his sister and her family. Together they traveled to Australia to start a new life in February 2002 and became Australian Citizens in 2006.
His initial maxi record tracks, 'Jehovah Nissi' otherwise initially released as My Maker and 'Times' were written, recorded and produced by him in the year 2007 at Cloud Studios on the Central Coast, Australia
The inspiration behind 'Jehovah Nissi' and 'Times' were motivated by his deep personal relationship with God and thus the ease of transforming biblical teachings into music was born.
Ray released his third record 'My Healer' featuring Theater Stage performer Amber Lewis in 2011 and describes the song as a soul uplifting moment of his life.
After the recording, Ray traveled to the United Kingdom and Nigeria on holidays to mark his late mum's two years remembrance anniversary and also spending quality time with his father.
Upon returning to the UK en route Australia, he recorded his first 'Main stream/commercial song & fourth record titled 'Leave me alone' at John Oram's Analogue Barn in Kent, United Kingdom.
In the wake of 2012, Ray is set to release Leave me alone the remix to his teeming fans and quite set to changing the dance world, Ray prepares to steal the lime light in the mainstream channel as he recently won the Best Male Gospel artist of the year Award In Sydney Australia on the 10th December 2011.
Ray Ramon married his sweetheart Jenni Lea Ramon in June 2011 and together have 4 beautiful children. He describes his wife as the sweetest and the best thing that has ever happened in his life.
As a singer and songwriter, he found passion in Musical Theater and has featured in several stage productions.
He features in his first movie role as a "bodyguard' in the upcoming movie ‘McLean's Money" due sometime in 2012.
