Super Cool - reminds me of Jeff Beck or Frampton

This guy knows how to play! I especially loved "The Shorter Path" - it reminded me of Wayne Shorter's playing on various Steely Dan discs in the '70's, and the other tracks rock out harder. Ray's come a long way since Tantrum. This is not Tantrum, it is better!

Very good album from the guitarist of Tantrum. It gets better and better every time you listen to it. Sometimes an instrumental album can sometimes get boring. But not this album.I strongly recomend everyone buy this album. Cause it also show what great and talent guitarisr Ray are.

Masterful! You can hear the heart in every note.

This is an amazing CD! Virtuoso playing, masterful composition, and you can hear the heart in every note. It's hard to believe all that music poured out of just one musician. "Gathering of The Gods" is Rock Nirvana and "85 Miles Gone" moved me to tears - then laughter. This is the sort of CD you listen to again and again and keep hearing new things. If you love rock guitar, you want this CD!

After checking out "The Way Beyond Blue" there is one comment that comes to mind - Wow - Ray can play guitar! Ray's hands fly up and down the fretboard on this CD. The songwriting is also solid and the rest of the band is tight. The flying guitar work on "Cirrus" is just one of the tracks that will blow you away. "Reiko's Waltz" provides a melodic dual-lead line, and brings out a more emotional style to Ray's guitar work. "85 Miles Gone" shows Ray's versatility, as he plays this beautiful acoustic song. If you enjoy guitar virtuosos such as Joe Satriani, you'll enjoy this CD. Pick up a copy today!
