Ray and Wanelle collaborated to form a great duet team in Sep 2002. They have since had various successes in the music business, and have recorded six entertaining CDs. Their talent ranges from 50’s/60’s rock and roll songs to traditional country and gospel selections. They each are avid song writers and have recorded several of their own compositions.
Ray and Wanelle performed at the Ernest Tubb Texas Troubadour Theater at the Midnight Jamboree on 14 Apr 07. The show broadcasted live, world-wide, on WSM 650 AM radio.
They frequently perform at the Nashville Nightlife Dinner Theater in Nashville TN, http://www.mapnashville.com/nash_nightlifetheatre.html , the Nashville Elders Ball http://www.eldersball.com/ and on various television specials throughout Georgia and Tennessee; i.e., Nashville OnStage, Music City Explosion, WMAZ-TV, Macon GA, and WSST-TV in Cordele, GA.
They, and their band, Phoenix, were inducted into the Powersville Opry Country Music Hall of Fame on 30 Dec 06 in honor of their talent and dedication to playing good country and good rock & roll music. The Phoenix Band is composed of Georgia boys Harvey Wynne of Cochran, Chuck Spivey of Lake Sinclair, Tommy Lawson of Perry, and Jack Cranford of Hawkinsville. This great band has been playing with Ray and Wanelle since 2002 and continues to awe the crowds with their personal magnetism and their talent.
Ray and Wanelle have become internationally known, as their music has been charted in the ARTISTS CAROUSEL for the UK and the USA http://www.artistscarousel.com/charts/chartsmain.htm and, also, on the INTERNET RADIO COUNTRY MUSIC CHARTS in New Zealand http://nashvillecdstore.hypermart.net/Charts.html .
Their music is played in the USA, Australia, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, and Ireland. Sweden\'s record company, MR. MUSIC, released Ray\'s and Wanelle\'s recording of \"Fraulein Medley\" from their “Together Again” CD as a single on their label and, promoted it as their \"Song of the Month\".
