“My Word is Good”, Rich Cashman’s first record, was recorded at Hopetown Sound under the guidance of Mike Pfeiffer. Two years in the making, this album represents Rich’s hopes and dreams and features some of the finest musicians In the area.

Rich picked up the guitar late in life and started to put words to music, he asked local legend Mike Pfeiffer to give him an honest opinion on some songs he had written.
Mike was in the process of starting a studio and was taking a break from his band Mike Pfeiffer and the Associates, the timing was perfect.

From October 2008 to October 2010 Rich and Mike began to put these songs together, on many tracks its Mike playing the drums, bass, guitar, backing vocals, keyboards, even glockenspiel.
On other occasions they’d bring in great musicians such as: Mike “Triple X” Wexler and Bobby Cerutti (Mike Pfeiffer and the Associates), Chris Givigliano, (Rising Sun, Marra) Stephen the Storyteller and the one and only Steph Hayes.

When the recording was done, Rich and Mike enlisted the help of Pier Giacalone to help mix and master the songs. Pier has worked with Regina Spektor, and many other famous artists. Pier gave the songs that professional sound that makes this recording destine for heavy radio play.

My Word Is Good is a collection of love songs and workingman ballads told through the eyes of someone who lived every word, and yes, My Word Is Good.
