R’CHIVE, born into this world as Bernard Jackson Jr., is a multi-talented young man, who is no stranger to the music industry. R’CHIVE comes from a long line of talent in his family, and he is now ready to receive his portion. As a native of Flint, Michigan, R’CHIVE started singing at the age of three. By the age of 10 he was singing and dancing at senior citizens buildings for the elderly. He began to participate in several groups; including lead vocals at his local church. He became very instrumental in the church choir, and began to participate in various singing engagements across the country.
In 1991, R’CHIVE appeared in his first commercial music video, in which he had a significant spot lead. This Commercial campaign encouraged peace through the voices of "the city for youth choir". At the age of 18, R’CHIVE founded his own production company, which helped develop and mature his talents. With a drive for perfection and quality, he began to perfect all aspects of the production industry one skill at a time.
R’CHIVE later joined the likes of the group "The Givenaires". With them he toured the mid-west and southeastern regions of the United States. In 1999, R’CHIVE wrote and produced for "The Givenaires", "Can't Tell It All" on the independent label PGM Records. After performing with the likes of Kirk Franklin, The Clark Sisters, and the Jackson Southernaires, R’CHIVE chose to take his career solo. Since then he has appeared in the gospel musical play "Don't Get God Started", with Vanessa Bell Armstrong. He and his production company, which is presently deemed Brainstorm Entertainment Company, has worked in conjunction with the likes of Kim Burrell, Commissioned, Rance Allen, PAJAM (producers of Kelly Price, Boyz 2 Men, & N-Sync), Brandy Williams (of the platinum selling female group Blaque), Rowdy Records (the Dallas Austin Camp), Kelly Rowland (of the group Destiny's Child) Lil’ Wayne, and Young Jeezy.
Recently, he was an extra in the movie "The Gospel", and has shared the same stage with India Arie, John Legend, Terrell Carter, Little G (formerly of the group Silk), Terrell Phillips (formerly of the group Blackstreet) and has appeared and produced on various independent artists projects, both gospel and secular such as Darome Bentley, Don Prodigy, and Cherry Givens. He also directing music video for one of his up and coming artists on his independent record label.
Since the launch of his independent record label (Brainstorm Entertainment Company) in 2006 his music has been heard all over the country on many radio staions and purchased in stores such as FYE, Circuit City, Best Buy, and Target. He also started doing jingles for an R&R Radio Staion (Cumulous Broadcasting Flint, MI) which gained him propularity as a well-known producer.
Now with the launch of his highly-anitcipated debut CD entitled “My Soulmate” he performs with live bands all across the country performing his originals and Top 40 Hits from blues, rock and pop, to jazz and R&B which he’s best known for, impressing all audiences alike. This multi-talented Artist, who has for quite sometime, worked behind the scenes with many prominent artists, steps center stage to bring a fresh new approach to the music industry.
