Music for the first light of morning, the shadows that are slowly pushed back with bird song and the orange fingers of the sun. Music for a heart that needs a sparse song to sing to, a wistful lullaby, a naked truth to lean on. cd baby linked my cd as a "sounds like." after hearing it, i immediately bought it. i thought this cd was great. it caught me immediately: the first two tracks especially. the title track "earthside down" is the best on the album. i repeat this one over and over again. the lyrics: (you crave convention in a sound bite/never mind the prophets at your door/you want a motorcycle ride)! i loved everything about those lines. i felt like: here is a truth.
the cd pretty awesome!!!! buy this thing!

Ambient drum loops percolate on several tracks, and they bring a welcome change in atmosphere without destroying the organic nature of Deeble's music.
