Ready Set Go returns to CDBaby with their long awaited follow up to 2003's "Keep Moving". READY SET GO / AUDIBLE LIFT emphasizes Brent Daniel's and musical partner Doug Bristol's distinctive guitar work. Already receiving notice from around the world, this followup is more roots-oriented than its predecessor, but still prominently features Brent's songwriting.
The making of "Audible Lift" took producers Brent Daniel, Doug Bristol, and Harry O'Brien across the United States and back. Ex-Shebang bandmate and brother Neel Daniel was recorded in his home studio base of Seattle, Washington while keyboard ace Mitch Chastain was recorded in his palatial estate in rural Georgia. The bulk of the record was recorded in Harry O'Brien's Atlanta Recording Studio in Kennesaw, Georgia. Another ex-Shebang bandmate of Brent's, Sheryl Crow's Peter Stroud dropped by for some of his best recording ever on slide and dobro guitars. The frantic activity began when Brent Daniel announced that he would be moving his home base from Atlanta, Georgia to Los Angeles, California to allow his daughter Julia to accept management and agency offers in her acting career. At that point in September, 2004, the race was on. Strategy meetings called together the ace Ready Set Go studio team of Brent Daniel and Doug Bristol on guitars and vocals with Kenny Wilbur on drums. The band cut 14 new tracks between October, 2004 finishing in January, 2005. After Brent had cut initial bass lines, he kept turning to Doug saying "this is Neel", "this is Neel too". And so it was to be. Brent, Doug, and Harry headed to the great Northwest and tracked Neel Daniel onto Brent's album reuniting the creative core of Shebang on record for the first time since 1987. Further, the "Fender Girls" were formed to sing background vocals and shake all manner of percussion. Julia and Marie Daniel, Peyton Bristol, Sage and Sydney Fuller ranging in ages from four to forty-four were a joy to have around. Fans of Brent's songwriting will be delighted and Ready Set Go fans around the world have already given the "leaked" tracks thumbs up all around.

Great Guitar Stuff - Goodness Gracious
author: Ron Mexico
This record has what's been missing from the overall music menu for a long time - roots-oriented guitar rock, recorded with love and care. The first 4 tracks are killer, but don't EVEN stop there. Great songs, very cool guitars (very vintage sounding tones), and great sounding. Why don't people buy this stuff anymore? Rock-n-roll for grownups. Sign up for it!!!
