Album Notes

The Real D’Coy is a Los Angeles based power trio that started as a duo. Long time friends and musical collaborators Andy Mitton (guitar/vocals/songwriter) and Clark Freeman (drums/arrangement) decided that they were through with supporting other songwriters in other bands and that it was time to start their own project. Cultivating a theatrical indie rock sound, The Real D’Coy brings a blend of poetry disguised as catchy melodies, and the rhythmic drive of a well-tuned Mac truck. Clark’s sister, Cassidy Freeman, has been the latest addition, adding her sweet female voice, and a distinct electronic element. Main influences include Jump Little Children, Muse, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Brian Wilson, and Ben Folds.
