The summer of 86 was the year God put Realest Reeken on earth to become one of the most influential emcees to date. Cold days and bitter nights in Jersey's capital were ignored with the sweet melodies of the 70s knocking loud in the poor yet strong family household held down by his mother. Young realest kept his head in the books to establish an educated yet deadly vocabulary that would soon reach and touch those of the hip hop culture. Years passed as Realest kept the pen hemorrhaging on the paper with countless poetry that soon evolved into works of art within the hip hop world that would push boundaries between the real and the fake. If it wasn't KRS One, Nas, Rakim, 2pac, Common, and other hip hop emcees pumping sound waves through the headphones, Realest was on the grind writing and recording countless songs that created his catalog of 11 mix-tapes/albums and still counting. With true passion for the music, Realest Reeken is ready to lead the masses with the true hip hop movement. With the materialistic music industry poisoning the true passion behind the hip hop culture, Realest Reeken is on the march to make change and put hip hop where it use to be, Back On TOP.
Intelligence, realness, and powerful lyrics are just the beginning when it comes to Realest Reeken. With his mic machete flows, Realest Reeken is bringing back and restoring the true art and culture of hip hop. The gap between rap and hip hop is at its prime right now, so it’s up to the true emcees to close it. Realest Reeken is standing strong behind true hip hop. Get Ready . . . . . . . .

What The Industry Needs

This album here is crazy bananas. Realest Reeken brushes on every style pretty much to obtain a broad audience and still keep it all hip hop. Very positive album that does well in delivering messages and hot beats. If this album is not moving people must be crazy not to cop this cd. The songs LIFE, MISSING YOU, LIQUID STORM, AND SHAKE are among my personal favorites.
Keep doing what you\'re doing.
