Biography - Reality

Numerous live shows. Countless written musical tracks and songs. Immeasurable dedication to youths and social causes. Intellectually electrifying. Consciously entertaining. She is positively avant-garde and ahead of her time. , Reality remains an underground phenomenon. She discovered her musical gift at an early age formed by her love for sounds, harmony and beats. Some of her songs are real life stories of experiences living in America's ghettos and 'hoods. Some of her songs are tales of self-acceptance, finding spiritual peace, cultural enlightenment and are full of love and passion. "Music and story are doorways to developing your view of world", she says, "It is a powerful force to send messages of revolution and freedom." Her favorite songs are those of love, peace, pleasure, power and change. This type of music inspires the heart to feel and your mind to dream and pursue she says. Her favorite entertainers are those that can write, compose and produce music. She says that music is the healing force of the world. "It moves all races."

Her electrifying performances have led local scouts to deem her hard, fast, soft, slow and entertaining. Asked about her style, Reality replies, "My style is very entertaining and hype. I am spontaneously smooth, sexy and aggressive. I captivate my audience with a tasteful appeal." An entertainer with soul, with class and with a spiritual mission. "I found strength, courage and wisdom to guide me in fulfilling my dreams", she says. "I finally put my faith to work and started bringing my creative self out to do what I feel in my heart." She also says when asked who she is, "I'm young enough to fulfill, strong enough to carry the weight of any crowd, old enough to know better and wise enough to handle my business."

Born and raised in area of West Palm Beach, Florida called Pleasant City, it was anything but pleasant. Reality adopted her name based on her life experiences and her ability to see things without illusion. Violence, abandonment and self-delusion characterized her world. Young Reality thought that life was a joke and promises were made to broken. She used humor to deal with the ills of her life and the sadness of poverty. Often forced into the role of peacemaker, leader and caregiver, she did her best to keep her life together. Throughout her troubled youth, she found solid promises in her creator that would set the course for her future. Hers was a hard-fought battle from the streets of south Florida. It is a tale of despair and deliverance that Reality chronicles in her music. "I had ten brothers and sisters", she says, "we struggled very hard to live a decent life. I was taught by my grandmother and raised by God's grace and mercy." Reality states, "It was my grandmother Louise that taught me how to put all my faith, hopes and dreams in the highest God. I prayed, asked, and cried out for wisdom, knowledge, courage and guidance. After my grandmother passed me and my brothers and sisters had no parental guidance, love or support." Reality's knowledge of music has been God given, and her skills self-taught. She understands that music is the pathway to an awakening of the mind.
