Album Notes

Real Ones is what you can call a "genuine band" - friends who grew up together and played music together since their youth. Even though the band members are only in their mid-twenties Real Ones has existed for 10 years, and has after all this time become an incredible live band.

Real Ones consists of 5 members, based in Bergen, Norway, who each play several acoustic instruments in a very rhythmical style. Inspired by everything from African music to country - with strong references to 60's pop, folk and psychedelia. The result is a unique type of acoustic music.

They have done extensive touring in Europe and North America, playing at festivals and clubs such as The Knitting Factory (New York) Dranouter Festival (Belgium), A2A (Amsterdam) Gent Fest (Belgium), Vancouver Folk Festival (Canada), Nattjazz (Norway), Blue North Music Festival (Iceland).

This Is Camping has previously been released in Norway, Belgium and Netherlands. It received fantastic reviews in the press getting 5 out of 6 stars everywhere:
-Dagbladet: "Real Ones keeps on surprising and charming. A band and a record to become very fond of."
-VG: "A pop-genre that has seemingly not been invented until now".
-TV2: "Check it out, exiting, very original."
-Stavanger Aftenblad: "Is George Harrison really dead, or has he just moved to Bergen?"
-Groove: "Bratislava is the best Norwegian pop song I have heard in a very long time!"
-CBC Radio 1(Canadian Broadcasting Corporation): "This very young, highly skilled, charming, passionate and irreverently intense quintet make ballistic acoustic music from the edge of Norway".
