ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In January 2005 Real Ones released their second album "Home With The Girls In The Morning" in Norway and received fantastic reviews in the Norwegian press (see quotes below). Both singles from the album, "Ballad of an Old Man" and "Oh My" got a lot of radio play and the video for "Oh My" was the most popular video on Norwegian TV.
In April 2005 the album will be released in Belgium and Holland on Keremos Records.

Real Ones is what you can call a "genuine band" - friends who grew up together and played music together since their youth. Even though the band members are only in their mid-twenties Real Ones has existed for 11 years, and has after all this time become an incredible live band.

The band consists of 5 members who play several acoustic instruments each in a very rhythmical style. Inspired by everything from African music to country - with strong references to 60's pop, folk and psychedelia - the result is a unique type of acoustic music.

Real Ones have in a sense done things in an "opposite order". After their first tour in Canada in 1998 they have toured all over Europe and North- America and slowly built up a following of dedicated fans and a well deserved reputation as a fantastic live band. In 2003 they released their official debut album on the acclaimed Norwegian label New Records and received excellent reviews.

Real Ones have in the course of their many tours played concerts at places like The Knitting Factory (New York) Dranouter Festival (B), A2A (Amsterdam) Gent Fest (B), Vancouver Folk Festival (Can), Nattjazz (N), Blue North Music Festival (Iceland), Comox Festival (Can), Eurosonic (Nl).
