ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Hands Up is a four-song mirror image of the cohesiveness the duo posses and the down-to-earth appeal that this band is all about. Produced by Lee Miles (Puddle of Mudd, Rise Against, Shinedown), each song on the EP boasts a live sound and guitar-driven beats. “He is quite the visionary,” says R.E.L “He opened doors we would have never imagined.” The songs range in subject from love, like “Love the Way You Love Me,” to retrospect and reflection in “Carry Me Home.” The lead single “Hands Up” is an upbeat and harmony-laced song about self-acceptance and finding one’s place in the world. Scotty, a Milwaukee, WI native, and R.E.L, an Israel native, list their musical influences as Dave Matthews Band, Jason Mraz and John Mayer. These influences can be heard in the heavy pop-style instrumentation and poetic lyrics on the album.
