Bio
Dusty was surrounded by music his entire life. His greatest influence came from his father(Bill Reavis)and his six uncles which formed the Reavis Brothers Band. They were a very popular country and western band in the southwestern missouri region in the mid 50's thru the mid 70's.At the age of 14,Dusty also wanted to pursue music but was very influenced by the popularity of heavy metal in the mid 80's (much to his Dad's dislike). At age 17 He joined his first hard rock band which mainly played the local garages and basements. With a few member changes and a few years experience, His band (idle mind)became one of the top drawing acts in Springfield, missouri in the mid and late 90's.With growing popularity and demand brought hardships on the other band members and thier familys.idle mind wasnt only a band but were really close friends aswell,so they decided to call it quits as a mutual decision. The next couple of years Dusty went through some soul searching. He remembered why he started playing music in the first place.Being very diverse in his musical taste,he had always been a fan of classical country and after all he was raised upon it.Ideas started to emerge and before long he was writing material based upon his country roots. He describes his music as "redneck rocknroll"having a country theme mixed with hard rock guitar riffs.Dusty feels now that he has met his calling and hopes that others will share his idea and maybe his music will put a smile on someones face.Dusty says that its not about being the greatest singer or musician but its about doing what you love and whatever brings you the most happiness in your life.....
