This special Patriotic and Inspirational Country album is designed in a beautiful digipak three panel format and shows the artist, Rebecca Linda Smith, as a young Army First Lieutenant on front cover and her former military, now songwriter husband, Robert Frank Smith, on back cover. Also shown on back cover is Dave Caley, a Member of the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame, as a young Marine Corporal. Rebecca Linda teams up with Dave on a Country song, "Lonely Hearts," written by Robert Frank that reached No. 2 in one Christian Country chart and yet has never been released as a single to radio since it is the title track of a future Country blues album already recorded by the artist but not yet in production. The entire album is dedicated to all of our military forces, their families, and support personnel who sacrifice unselfishly to preserve our freedoms and the American way of life. It includes all those 'American Heroes' in this great nation, past, present, and future, many of whom have given their very lives and limbs to serve others in times of peace and war. This collection of twelve Country Inspirational and Patriotic songs will encourage and inspire.
The artist is an Inspirational Country singer and songwriter who knows the military well having spent six years on active duty and in the Reserves as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. She and her husband, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, wrote nine of the songs on this album. The passionate hit song, "We Will Remember" written by Robert Frank on the fifth anniversary of 9/11, has been made part of the Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset, PA along with the entire album. Robert Frank narrates a small part of second verse in this song. This project was produced by award winning producer Gene Higgins of HMG Nashville. Part of the sales go to the Wounded Warriors Fund. Ken Mann, Host of Ken's Country Radio Show, says that " When Rebecca Linda sings about her faith or this great Country she is so convincing because she truly believes in them both. You don't just hear, you feel the sincerity in her voice, as the words from every song come from her heart." Rebecca Linda sings with a smooth, rich, and warm alto voice that appeals to fans and DJs alike. She was a Top 5 Nominee for 2007 and 2008 Female Vocalist of the Year with Inspirational Country Music (ICM) Awards in Nashville, Tennessee and her husband, Robert Frank, was a Top 10 Nominee for Songwriter of the Year in same two years. Both have received additional recognition for their song releases in several music genres.
Since release of this Patriotic album, Robert Frank has written another special tribute song called "Forgotten Heroes" for all Vietnam Veterans on special request from the El Paso Chapter 574 of Vietnam Veterans of America that has now become part of the first ever Vietnam Veterans National Memorial at Angel Fire, N.M. in 2009. Robert Frank and Rebecca Linda recently co-authored another special Patriotic song, "Lady Warrior", for all female veterans that is a tribute to all women in the military, past, present, and future. Rebecca Linda debuted this song at the 25th anniversary event of Tribute to Women in the Military at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, N.M. in 2010. The most recent Patriotic song co-written by the artist and her husband is "The Wall" which honors all the living and the dead who gave their all in the Vietnam War. Rebecca Linda hopes to be able to perform this special song at the 30th anniversary celebration of the dedication of The Wall memorial in Washington, D.C. during Veterans weekend 2012 when all 58,000 plus names of the dead in that war will be read. All three of these single song Patriotic CDs can be found for hard copy purchase at the Renewed Records website.
All original song melodies on the American Heroes album and the three single song Patriotic CDs are the work of Michael Paul Schrimpf and his artist wife Netha of Hendersonville, Tennessee, with music by Mike's band.
