Born and raised in Southeastern Wisconsin, Rebecca began by studying classical guitar at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. In 1999 she left The Conservatory after a long summer of sitting around campfires in Canada and driving around the east coast attending folk concerts. It was in this inspirational summer when she began writing her own songs. While in collage at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee she began performing in the Milwaukee area.
In the last year Rebecca has lived in San Francisco, CA, Madison, WI and now finally Chicago, IL. Since coming to Chicago she has taken bold moves with her music and her first EP (Learning to be Lonely).

The EP features genius guitar and piano player Joe Drennan (www.myspace.com/joedrennanmusic), the amazing Ryan Suzuka ( http://www.myspace.com/ryansuzuka) on harmonica, some sweet background vocals from Heather Styka ( http://www.myspace.com/heatherstyka ), and Graham Green (http://www.myspace.com/gramcrackermusic) who helped out with some funky tambourine. All of these great musicians helped to make the EP something that she can really be proud of.
