Album Notes

Fisher has made a name for herself as a one-woman synth band at coffee shops and open stages by using a portable sequencer to provide her rhythm tracks while she sings and plays keyboards.

As a songwriter, Fisher strives to write about self-betterment and spirituality.

Fisher mixes many pop music styles.

She's a big fan of Gladys Knight and Mavis Staples.

She also grew up on pop singer-songwriters Carole King and Rickie Lee Jones.

She aims eventually to create a new kind of singer-songwriter soul music, a la Des'ree.

But Fisher admits that until now her music has been quite pop oriented, perhaps because of her computerized music-making systems.

Fisher is an intriguing talent, with a bright future in soft rock, New Age pop or uplifting R&B.

Her fortitude, realism and positive outlook are all admirable.
