BAND BIO

Recent Photo is a quirky Chicago-based noise-pop-rock outfit that puts on lively shows integrating karaoke dance musics, noise toy textures, and fake instrument playing with more traditional guitar pop-rock performance. The foursome consists of fuzz bassist and frontman Derek (formerly with Food, Mant, Peep, and Phenomenal Cat), former ballerina and drummer (and Metapuffs member) Candy, noisist/thereminist Joe (formerly with Tinkerband and Gunshop), and lead and rhythm guitarist Tris (also of Metapuffs).

Eclectic Pop Masterpiece

This is a true underground treasure. It's not by any stretch immaculately produced or even performed, but these are songs of tremendous substance that if underappreciated now will get their due 20 or 30 years down the line. These distinctive pop gems recall, for me, the Beatles or Eno at their best. Folks with a keen ear for good songwriting will truly enjoy this. Don't be foolish, buy it now!
