“First Fruits” by Reclamation, A Gerald Price/Ted Gary Production is a Holy Spirit inspired musical collaboration.
Both men were looking for a way to express their love of GOD through the music that was in them - without having to adhere to established gospel genres. The CD “First Fruits” is an eclectic compilation of Contemporary Christian, neo-soul, jazz tinged, spiritual, praise and worship songs.
WHY RECLAMATION ?
Music is spiritual communication; that's why we can all listen to a musical piece over and over again. It's because our human spirit responds to music. The word reclamation means "to rescue from an undesirable state"; or "to obtain something useful from a waste product". GOD has endowed cultures around the world with a splendid variety of styles and flavors by which people can reflect what's in their spirit via music.
We all know what has happened: The influence of the Enemy has reduced many forms of music that to mere ticklings for the flesh, and even overt invitations to sin against the LORD. The Reclamation project is committed to bringing honor to GOD and restore the use of GOD's music to bring glory and praise to HIM.
WHAT WILL YOU HEAR ?
Every lyrical phrase is Biblically based, firmly rooted in the Word of GOD.
In the instrumental pieces, we want the listeners to open their hearts to feel what we want to communicate.
- Through YOUR Eyes
Get a glimpse of how GOD sees you walking in HIS salvation. He sees you as clean, justified, joyful and taking each step through life full of faith and expectation that HE will be with you always.
- Praise the LORD
We can dance before the LORD with gladness.
- We Thank YOU, Oh FATHER
Rejoice in the LORD and in the power of HIS might
- We Come to Praise
Both cathedral choirs and Afro-Cuban rhythms can praise the LORD
- Keyona's Song
A tender ballad about a father's love for his daughter. Listen for the love and the patience that the father wants to extend to his child...just as the FATHER in heaven is patient toward us.
- Flourishing and Thriving
Let's thank GOD for the beautiful weather and the plants that grow so marvelously in gardens and farms around the world. Moreover, let's thank GOD for things that are going well in our lives. Let us never take HIS blessings for granted.
- Grand Canyon Sunrise
On a vacation trip to the Grand Canyon, my family and I watched as a new day was born. Listen for the sun, the quickening activity of the birds, and the rising expectations of my spirit as we praise the LORD for his marvelous works.
It is our prayer that you will find our music uplifting and of sweet savor to your spirit.
