Album Notes

When MTV nabs the title track of your CD to use on one of their shows, you might be doing something right...

Picture a '72 Nova barreling down the Great Highway at dusk, dodging potholes, drunks and sand drifts; Make A Friend is the soundtrack for that. Recorded at legendary Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco, Recliner's second release finds the band writing solid, catchy tunes and pounding them out one after another. And it seems to be working: the All Pleasure video was an underdog hit on Fuse TV, and the LP is featured on 2000 web-powered jukeboxes across the country, compliments of a deal with Ecast Inc.

Great songs aside, Make A Friend was recorded and mixed entirely in analog format. It will be one of few releases this year in the category (and yes, when the band can afford it, a vinyl release will be in the works). From the first warm, sweet dollop of feedback on the title track to the reluctant fade of acid horns on the buried gem, this album will breathe life into your stereo system. Highly Energized Rock 'n" Roll - get your dancing shoes on!

Recliner seems to getter better every time you hear them. This latest album is highly energized and wants you to get your dancing shoes on and just party all night long. My favorite song is "All Pleasure" Their sound is a little like the first Knack album and the Who's "Live at Leeds" session. It's a catchy raw rock 'n' roll sound that has a real live sound. Play it loud and it will really rock you!
