Red 7’s has an amazing new sound, a unique mixture of musical genres culminating to what some might refer to as a “musical high”. The red headed lead singer brings a sultry sound with an alternative edge to the lyrics, and amazingly enough simultaneously, skillfully plucks away at her golden guitar. The bass player jams away filling the air with lovely deep tones as the guitarist occasionally breaks away for a brilliant solo. This is all intermingled with the intricate combination of drum beats from their very talented drummer and the soulful vocals from their backup vocalist (who also puts the finishing touches to each song with various instruments such as the tambourine). Based on several post-traumatic interviews, following symptoms have already been reported (list not limited): - copying & pasting all available lyrics from www.reds7.com to notepad ... - ... in order to read words, trying to understand the thinking and ideas behind - feeling angry if the telephone lines' limited bandwidth prevents you from hearing 'story about a friend' without annoying interuptions - whishing oceans could be jumped over by just 'a small step for man', to be able to attend a concert (or even rehearsal) - continiously seeing the hypnotizing red website's background patterns (even when turning your head 180 degrees) - percepting different colours after each mouse click - maniacally clicking thumnails of talented folks expressing what's inside - getting sickly impatient, after reading a demo CD is not yet available So, if you recognize any of above's symptoms, don't feel frightened or anxious, you're not alone. Red 7's were extraordinarily tight and professional at the Derby in Hollywood on April 8th.. and the music rich and balanced. Hilde, the lead singer, has the perfect voice for that blend: clear, inviting and full of range. I'm looking forward to a bright future for Red 7's!
