The Red Flags

by The Red Flags

Taps the energy of late 70's punk, sprinkles in the heavy riffs from their childhood heroes like Kiss and Alice Cooper, then tops it off with some Cheap Trick-like catchy power pop.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Heralding from Minneapolis, Minnesota The Red Flags carry on the proud tradition of loud guitars and catchy garage rock songs that their brethren in the Replacements, Husker Du, and Suicide Commandos begat in the early 80's. Lead singer Mike Leonard bellyaches about everything from cranky ex-girlfriends, drug-addled fallen comrades, the state of the world in general while the band never lets the subject matter drag it down. It's one big party and the Red Flags are confident they'll drink you under the table with this debut disc.
