In early 2005, REDHILL exploded onto the growing Michigan country music scene with a unique style they call "Detroit Country": Detroit-Rock-And-Motown-Influenced country music. Motown and Rock have been the prominent sounds coming out of Detroit for half a century, so it is no small wonder that these influences are in the heart and soul of the sound that is REDHILL.
The group is a seasoned blend of music veterans (including three songwriters) who love to perform live, a captivating lead singer, and an energetic live show that has quickly become REDHILL's trademark. In just their first year together, REDHILL achieved some amazing accomplishments...opening for three national touring artists, (including Clay Walker at Freedom Hill Amphitheatre in Detroit), along with having two singles from their upcoming cd already in rotation at three south-east Michigan country radio stations. The song "All Night Long" is also being used at the Port Huron Flags minor hockey league NHL games.
The group is finishing production on their first full- length cd scheduled for release in the spring of 2006 with plans for regional touring and a record label showcase to follow.
UPDATE: They've just been nominated for two Detroit Music Awards: Outstanding Country Group/Act, and Outstanding Country Recording.
They have also just been invited to play at the Detroit Country Hoedown in Hart Plaza with many national acts!
stay tuned!

It's Not Your Mama's Country - But it sure is Awesome

Every once in a while.. when the moon and the stars are just in the right position, something fresh comes along, something that sounds familiar, but has a decidedly new twist. That something is REDHILL. Country with an Edge... a cutting edge. Julianne and the boys show us that everything we have known is not everything there is. The songwriting is supurb, the vocals are enchanting and the appeal.. well.. it's just There in abundance. You will love the catchy lyrics the energy in which they are performed and the knowledge that you are hearing something totally new, something different. I can't wait for the complete CD.
