In the short time since the Red Hot Blues Sisters performed their first live show in 2004 at Highway 99 in Seattle, they have taken the local music community by surprise with the power and depth of their musicianship. Washington Blues Society Best Band 2006 nominees, fans love their innovative songwriting and fresh electric feel to the blues. Selective covers of traditional standards shine like polished stones through the lens of the bands strong musicology & style.
Fronted by powerful and soulful vocals from Suze Sims and searing rock/blues styles from Teri Anne Wilson on guitar; The Red Hotz are joined by top class Northwest musicians including Eric Robert on keyboards, Patrick McDanel on bass, and Scott Ronjay on drums.
Recent live performances on main stages have continued to introduce the talents of RHBS to the International music scene; resulting in extremely positive responses from ardent blues, rock and R&B fans. (Portland Waterfront Blues Festival, Mt. Baker Blues Fest., Spirit Lake Blues Fest, Pender Harbour Blues Fest., Seattle's Northwest Folklife, Blues by the Sea, The Triple Door, The Yale, B.C., Wild Buffalo, The New Orleans, Bite of Seattle & more).
Producers Bonnie Hayes and Tom Pfaeffle joined forces with Peace Code Records, "Hot Off the Press" which includes 5 originals. Bonnie Hayes is composer of hit songs "Have A Heart" and "Love Letter," recorded by Bonnie Raitt on the multi-platinum, multi-Grammy-winning CD Nick of Time. Tom Pfaeffle is best known for his work with Heart and Queensrych. Other RHBS releases include: "Flood In The Basement" –May 2005 – Peace Code Records - 'Kiss My Dimple' and 'Lost & Found' "Friends of the Holidays 2005" –Nov. 2005 – Compilation CD produced by Friends of the Holidays includes "Lost & Found".

Seattle-based band The Red Hotz aka:The Red Hot Blues Sisters, placed first in a pack of ten local bands competing to represent the South Sound Blues Association in the 24th Annual IBC Semi-Finals. The scores from the first round at Jazzbones in Tacoma and second round at Tacoma Waterfront Freedom Festival added up to give them just enough of an edge to victory over last years winner, the Michal Miller Band.

The World's Largest Gathering of Blues Bands!
The 2008 International Blues Challenge semifinals will be held Thursday January 31 and Friday February 1. Finals will be Saturday February 2.
With the mission to find the best unsigned blues band, this annual competition is held worldwide on a regional level by The Blues Foundation's 150 Affiliated Organizations around the world. Semi-finalists, the winners of these regional competitions, head to Memphis for the national finals held on historic Beale Street, and the opportunity to compete for over $20,000 in cash, prizes and industry recognition. In 2008, over 150 bands and solo/duo acts are set to perform in 17 venues, drawing an audience of many thousands to Beale Street and attracting extensive media. There's no other blues competition event in the world that comes close to the stature and intensity of the IBC. Last year 2007 First Prize Band winner was The Sean Carney Band from the Columbus Blues Alliance.

Suze, Terri... what a great debut! I mean really this screams radio play and major label deal. A fantastic CD. I can't wait to say, I knew them then and I even have a photo with Suze!!! :) Continued luck and blessings.
