Album Notes

Destiny is inspired by love, children, & relationships in general. This work was written during Rick's time of new fatherhood. The title track " Destiny was written for Rick's son Ben two weeks before he was born. Track 9 is a lullaby written for his daughter "Maya" & track 8 "Julie's song" was the first in a series of songs written for his wife. Marriage, Children, Life, & Loss are all part of what went into this disc. It features the first track that Redington recorded with Jorma Kaukonen called " Lazy Summer's Day". Rick's two year old daughter Maya can be heard singing on track 15 the traditional "Bid You Goodnight". Destiny is produced by Jim Gilmour who also offers his Bass & Vocal talent to the mix. "More & More" & " Bid You Goodnight" feature blues/Jazz great Sandra Wright on back up vocals. This is an eclectic mix of music, lyrics, & performers not to be missed.
