Old Friend Is Rick Redington's first release and probably still one of the closest to his heart. The title track was written for a musical mentor and Old Friend Cecil Duscharme who ran a music store out of an old train station in Castleton Vt. This is where it all started. The track Mountain Cabin was inspired by a poem that was written by Rick's Grandmother Mary Edgerton. The poem was written in the early 1900's and given to Rick in the late 1980's. Quite a test of time. This is an album about friends and family filled with Fiddles, Mandolins, Harmonica, Guitars, Upright Bass, etc....A real down- home offering. Don't miss this chance to see some of Redington's earliest works.
