Combining the songwriting of Rick Redington with the musical support of The Samples has produced a beautifully organic Rock n' Roll offering from the Green Mountains of Vermont. These ten songs were recorded at Mt. Hollywood Studios in a few days of intense eighteen + hour sessions and finalized with the help of Grammy Winning Engineer/Producer Jay Newland. The vibe in the studio was indescribable as the tunes unraveled themselves to players who had yet to even hear them. Between the composers excitement and the energy of The Samples fresh off a sixteen week tour...this disc emits the sweet and positive energy of songs dealing with relationships of all possibilities. From the first track featuring The Samples fearless leader Sean Kelly on vocals to the last track featuring drummer/percussionist extraordinaire Bill Mutchler on a single Tabla drum as well as kick and hi-hat. The FLOW is self-evident.
Redington's longtime friend, former bandmate, co-coordinator, and now The Samples bassist, Jared Johnson provided not only the most solid low end foundation of bass, but co-engineered the project. The incomparable Karl Dietel got his hands on the studios 1942 BC3 organ and sat right there and added just the right amount of fire and CLASS to the album.
Heather Lynne makes her vocal debut on the title cut Those Changes, and since then has become RR's bassist, while additional vocals on track seven Sail On can be heard by Rick's Sister Nanci McGuire to complete this deal perfectly. The cover art & layout were done by the very talented Croatian artist Toni Bratincevic and is an all cardboard hi-gloss, eco-friendly package.
