Red Letter Print will not be ignored. The Austin-based band's strong sense of individuality, balanced with a solid grasp on their musical influences, provides for a potent musical formula that grabs the listener and makes them beg for more. Michael Andrew's lyrics weave through each line with sincerity, clarity and heart, as his genuine melodies interlock with drummer Blaine Crews' power-pop rhythms to create music not easily forgotten.
Michael Andrew has clearly developed a naturalistic approach to song-writing. But it hasn't all come naturally. Red Letter Print (RLP) originally formed in the summer of 1999 in the small town of Harlingen Texas. The band ended just as fast as it had started, but Crews and Andrews continued playing in the Rio Grande Valley for the next few years opening for up-and-coming acts like Earthsuit (now Mute Math), Pax 217, and Switchfoot.
After an almost 4 year break from the band, a move to Austin, and some time for at least an album's worth of new material to incubate in the mind and heart of Michael Andrew, he had all he needed to reform the band and join forces with local producer Jason Demetri. The combination employed a few friends to fill the bass and some lead guitar slots in the studio, producing an album that has been turning heads since day one.
Having already caught the attention of several industry names, and an impressive and steadily growing online community, Red Letter Print expects to be around for a very long time. Look for "Come With Me" in stores now, and online at http://www.redletterprint.net. Remember the name, because once you've heard the first line of the first song, there is nothing you can do to keep you from playing these catchy pop tunes over and over again. Never to be ignored, and not easily forgotten, Red Letter Print will be on your radio, in your CD player, on your mind, and in your hometown very soon.
