Ras Popo was born in Bahia, Brazil and has been involved in reggae music since a young age. Ras Popo has patricipated in many projects in Salvador, Bahia as well in the northeast of Brasil and in the south. He has played in reggae fesitvals throughout Brasil and here in the United States. Ras Popo believes in the prophecy of Marcus Garvey that all Africans will return to Africa and this reflects in his music. He is influenced by artists such as Burning Spear and Culture. Ras Popo spreads a message of peace, justice, love and equality for all people all over the world.
