Album Notes

jean-francois fecteau, dj, le vestibule radio show

“ I really can't say enough great things about this album, if I had a top 10, it would certainly be on it! :)...”

peter-jan van damme, dj, darker than the bat radio show

It takes about 30 seconds before the first (Torrid) song really starts, but when it does, you get blown away. This could be a huge dancefloorhit; you immediately want to start dancing. The second song is different and so are all the songs. You never know what's going to be next. In Spiked, Atropine and Crime Of Passion you can discover classic elements as well as the usual beats. Redzone surprises you all the time with their great music and almost heavenly voices. About 45 minutes of dance music, that you must love. Others good songs on Modified are the danceable masterpiece Layer6, Homo Destructus, which uses distorted guitars, and the strange Birthday. If you don't know them yet this might be the best thing to discover this year.”

Sideline Magazine, issue 29 - review of modified album "After two good self released maxis and some busy activities on the Net, this is finally the first album of Redzone in a more professional format and with a very original cover…very sexual indeed…. Describing the music of this British duo is not as easy thing to do; far away from cliché, the band tries to develop their own style… a kind of wavy trance leaded by the floating voice of Ami and multi-instrumentalist Justin. The catchy ‘Spiked’, ‘Layer6’, or the gloomy ‘Recess’ are among my favourites."
