Album Notes

Redzone were formed in 1997 by creative duo Ami (vocals/violin) and Justin (bass/guitar).

High up in their 17th floor tower block studio in London, they forge their music using handcrafted electronic samples created from the band\'s improvised performances.

Seductive female vocals, rock beats and hiphop drums integrate with textural swirls of electric violin, synth, double bass (courtesy of guest musician Tim) and ebow guitar; ambient songs contrast with exhilarating uptempo arrangements.

Their style should appeal to fans of Primal Scream, Bjork, Radiohead, Aphex Twin or Portishead.

Ami says “we admire bands who go out of their way to do something different. Rather than copy those bands,
we\'re inspired to create something really unique ourselves\".

Holy Kau, you guys rawked me! I previewed your songs Layer 6 and Euphoric before the Second Life concert and they were good but I have been to quite a few lives in SL and this was the first time I have felt anything approaching the ELECTRICITY and immediacy of a local live in the meatspace..it was awesome, you truly DO bridge the gap. Innovative and unique, with highly sophisticated hypnotic and oddly resonant/dissonant sounds. Must be heard to be understood at all, I think. Thank you for permission to play it--Fauve
