When Nobby Reed released Guitar on my back, in 1996, he sent it in for review at blues revue magazine. and before they reviewed it they put it in the top 10 most listened to in house( the office) this was exciting considering it was an indie release, and it also ment that they really enjoyed listening to this cd over and over, and a the people who bought this cd said the more they listened the better they liked it.

Talk about jump blues and down and dirty rockin' blues....talk The Nobby Reed Project. Out of the hills of Vermont, the project is led by bandleader Norbert " Nobby" Reed, clearly a guitar virtuoso par excellent,Reed has a strong set of pipes as well. I am alwasys pleased to run across rare and polished talent like this. I hear bloomfield Greene, Santana, and Beck influences. Purely original material here that will knock your socks off. Clean and voluminous music on this disc. It's laced with powerful ax phrasings and well developed harmonies. Smart arrangements, excellent vocals, and innovated melodies. Cheers to the Nobby Reed Project...power blues for today and tomorrow!
