Album Notes

Reggae Jackson was formed in 1978 from the Sausalito band "Jah Love" led by Josh Mills. Jimmy Foot (guitar) and Bill Thompson (keys), two studio musicians, joined the band, followed by Shelly Huntley (bass), Joyce jackson (flute & vocals), Karen Ida White (congas)and Jim Carrington (drums).
The album was produced by Dylan/Cash producer Bob Johnston, who brought in Cheryl Lynn (at the time a Platinum artist on the charts), Delbert Langston, Kenneth Nash, Jeff Narell, Joni Haastrup, and Jimmy Foot's son's 6th grade class. This album could have been recorded last year, as the themes in several songs are still current. It was engineered by Susie Foot and recorded at Villa Recorders, Cherokee, The Record Plant and Caribou Ranch.
