French-African born Maya is a new creative and poetic singer whose music stems from her background in Afro-Caribbean dance, poetry and art. She has lived on four continents and draws her lyrics from the essence of her multicultural lifestyle.
Her songwriting is inspired by the mystical and spiritual experiences she has encountered through her journeys. Maya's music covers a wide range of styles, including Reggae, Worldbeat and New Age.
She sings and writes in both English and French, and her voice has a sweet and soothing quality that takes the listener to another place.

Terre Mere is her first original recording. She is presently living in Atlanta, Georgia, where she is working on her upcoming album.
