Album Notes

This music was written following Reggie's return to Seattle from Southern California. The song 'Sunny Hill' is inspired by memories from youth at his grandparents house in North Seattle. Hours were spent in the large yard picking pears, cherries & berries and playing fetch with Fang the local German Shepherd. There was always a sign on the driveway that said 'Welcome to Sol Backe', which in Swedish means Sunny Hill.Inside the house was grandpa's piano, and he was always willing to give a music lesson. Now after many years the piano has made it's way into Reggie's home, and thus 'Sunny Hill' and Sol Backe Music began. Now the great grandkid's are learning to play on this piano, and hopefully they will soon carve their own musical journeys.
