Reginald Dunn : Mind Over Matter

This music combines the heavy, rhythmic foundation of funk with the slick, melodic overtones of jazz - all influenced by R&B/Soul, Gospel and Rock. It is too hard to be "smooth", but not hard enough to be "fusion". I just call it SMOOTH FUSION.

Album Notes

Multi-instrumentalist Reginald Dunn is set to bring you the best of his original work, combining jazz, R&B/Soul and Gospel into his own brand of music. This project marks the culmination of years of practice and development, and a turning point in not only his musical endeavors, but his personal life. Having survived a potentially fatal car accident, Reggie has set his sights on sharing his insights with the world, realizing the impermanence of life and his uncanny natural-born talent. His experience dates back to his birth, having been born into a musical family. His journey has landed him in many venues, associated him with a variety of projects and has given rise to his extensive performing experience. Finally with an outlet to display his ability to compose, arrange, produce and play, he takes aim at an opportunity to share his musical gifts with the world. The project in its entirety was conceived, produced, arranged and performed by Reginald Dunn.

Totally Awesome!!

Oh wow! What a great CD! Track 3 is my favorite and track 10 is a very nice tribute to your parents, Reggie. This is a great CD to pop into your CD player when you're driving up the coast, driving across country, or just plain ol' trying to battle traffic in Los Angeles, which I do on the daily, because it definitely keeps you in a mellow mood. And, considering the work that I do, that's definitely important to me. Keep up the good work!

Simply Wonderful!
author: Shirley Dunn
The CD is great. I enjoyed every minute of it. The last song caught me by surprise and of course brought me to tears. As one of the proud parents of the artist, I know this CD is the beginning of something wonderful. I am excited about the upcoming CD. It is a blessing to see where the many years of listening to Reggie beat on coffee cans for drums and watching him guitar my broom has brought him to, with the help of God no doubt. Wait was inspired by the a gospel song Wait on the Lord. I encourage you to Wait on the Lord. Love the CD, Love the artist.
