Album Notes

These wild eyed boys from southern california play honky tonk , blues infused, good time boogie tunes kickstarted by harmonic layers of gut bustin guitars!

The Regulators first recording was in 1992 for Polydor Records called The Regulators. From that album their were songs in various movies such as "Under Siege" Starring "Steven Segal", "Kuffs" Starring "Christian Slater", "Girls Of Rock Video 3" Starring "Rock Girls", "The Ride" a Biker Documentry along with a Soundtrack Cd for "The Ride" including the song "Need For Speed" along with other artist like The Allman Brothers Band, Derek & The Dominos, Cream, James Brown, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Doobie Brothers, George Thorogood and The Destroyers, Iggy Pop, Billy Ray Cirus & Nat's Zen Cowboys.

Now they have Bar & Grill. We hope you like it.

There is also another cd by the band called "Above The Law"
It will is here now.

Released online only The Regulators "Got Smith & Wesson?" These are songs from the 1992 recording sessions that did not make the first cd. Smith & Wesson Band was the name of their band before they signed with Polydor.

Got it! Heard it! Dug it, bigtime! Very edgy, love those strong and dirty guitar leads, great lyrics. My favorite...Burn Them Bridges Down with Gary Jeffries, lead vocalist...dynamic piece, very powerful. Also, love Money Pride and Greed, Eatin' Crow, Above the Law, and Lies. Rockin' music to dance and get down to. WOW WOW WOW!!!

One of Those Rare "Wow" CD's

Anyone who spends a lot of time (and sometimes money) constantly searching for new music and artists will have a tale or two of the one "diamond" they found in the countless piles of coal, the one CD that just makes you pull your car to the side of the road and give the CD your full attention. This is one of those CD's for me. You listen to this and you wonder how in the world this band never "made the big time". (But then you consider what the music industry has been feeding us the past 20 years and you realize that a quality band like this doesn't stand a chance in the era of Flock of Seagulls, Hootie, JJ Coolwhat'shisname and Britney). Anyway, if you like Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, a little Blackfoot and even Brother Ted Nugent,,,,this CD is for you. Not a weak song on the entire CD. Great recording, excellent muscianship and writing and some of the best guitar work I've heard in years. The same CD is available under a different name on this site with one addtional tune added and a different mix on some of the songs. I think I might like the mix on that other CD a little better but both are good.
