JACK REILLY'S DOUBLE CD, INNOCENCE-GREEN SPRING SUITE was composed during his stay for treatment of cancer at JOHNS HOPKINS RADIATION CLINIC, GREEN SPRING MARYLAND. He was given 1/3rd chance of surviving. This music, prayer and science healed him. This is Jack's story in music.
The FORM of the Suite is in 12 sections, each section being dedicated to a Doctor, Nurse, Radiologist, Jazz Musician, Piano Techniction, The Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, in other words, people who "made a difference" during his 8 weeks of treatment.
The music is powerful, full of Melodic Beauty, Harmonic Truth, Innocence (childlike), Inspiration, Healing energy and above all Peacefulness.
Since its conception in Fall of 2002, the GREEN SPRING SUITE has taken on a life of its own! It has been performed twice at the Weinberg Kimmell Cancer Center, Baltimore, on the "ART OF HEALING" concert series and the United Kingdom, where this recording was made Live in Concert, at London's famed St. Cyprian's Church.
