SUBJECT: "ONE NATION UNDER GOD- remembering 9.11"
DATE: 12/2/2002

Americans collectively breathed a sign of relief at the passing of the one year anniversary of the September 11th tragedies. But while emotions are now less raw, there are times when mere words can not express the mixed emotions the country continues to feel.
More than ever, people are turning to music to fill the void.
"One Nation Under God," produced by Jeff Marginean with Joe Procario and recently released by Frog & Scorpion Records provides listeners with a voice for their sorrow, outrage, resolve and hope.
The title, born out of the controversy over the constitutionality of the words "...under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance, more than hints at the wholesome "red, white and blue" content of the album.
The compilation of 13 patriotic and inspirational originals features a wide variety of styles, including rock, country, Christian, pop, and modern jazz. Listeners might be drawn to personal favorites, but few will be unmoved by the selections which include Thank God I'm An American, We Will Not Forget, Rebecca's Song, A Good River, All American, Can't Break Our Spirit, We Are America, On An Ordinary Tuesday, These Three Colors, Intervene, I Pledge Allegiance Again, Praise The Glory of America, and Forever Changed.
Particularly stirring is Rebecca's Song written and performed by the brother and sister team of Larry and Marie Pearson. The sweet, piano selection is dedicated to Marie's daughter Rebecca who was born on the morning of September 11, 2001. The song's inspiration was the conflicting feelings; horror and despair vs. joy and life, and the young mother's decision to focus on the beauty of her miracle.
With the nation's newfound respect for veterans, We Will Not Forget written by Bud Tower and Buck Provosty and performed by the Nashville Players is a worthy tribute to the quiet dignity of those who have served our country.
The final cut on the album, Forever Changed written by John Polier and performed by Jim Sales memorializes those lost in an instant on that infamous, sunny morning. "...Though we feel our love is lost forever, forever they remain, Within us forever changed..."
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of "One Nation Under God" is donated to "Believe in Tomorrow National Children's Foundation," of Baltimore, MD, (formerly the "Grant A Wish Foundation").

Buddy Jewell's "On an Ordinary Tuesday" Cut #8 is a "Haunting" Remembrance of the "Heroes" we lost on that Day.
His Song "We Will not Forget" (Cut# 2)is a poignent recollection of our late president Ronald Reagan and people like him who put America first in this world!
Larry and Marie Peason's "Rebecca's" song (Cut #3) is a "Stirring" autobiographic depiction of their strong, conflicting emotions on September 11th as they chose to celebrate the birth of their daughter on a day when the whole world was mourning!
These 3 cuts alone make this album worth buying, but there are several other cuts you will enjoy! Buy It!

Great CD--very poignant--recommended to all

I bought this CD for my daughter. I heard REBECCA'S SONG and I had to get it. My daughter was giving birth to her first child on 9-11--a beautiful, articulate, charming Savanna Grace. Savanna made that infamous day bearable and kept our hope for the world alive. This song reiterates our feelings exactly. We think it's great!
