BIOGRAPHY
Music, art and dance have always been a part of Remi's life. "For a time I wanted to be a painter," Remi recalls, "but music won out with dance as a close second. My grandfather was a great inspiration to me --he was a Vaudeville entertainer and my biggest fan!" While attending California Institute of the Arts, Remi found both passions supported by the World Music Program, where she studied African and Indonesian dance and music. With her diverse heritage of Cherokee, Swedish, Norwegian and Spanish, Remi found unity in the diversity, which directly influenced her own music.

Remi signed her first publishing deal with Macy Lipman's publishing company. Soon after, she landed her first road gig as keyboardist/vocalist/dancer with Babyface prodigy Karyn White and went on to sign her own recording contract with an all female band produced by Morris Day on Warner/Reprise. "This is when it all started happening for me" Remi recalls. "Ironically, I moved from Minneapolis to LA and ended up working with artists and producers that I had always admired from my hometown!" Remi went on to tour with Motown recording artist Teena Marie and as a keyboardist and duet partner with David Cassidy and Christopher Cross. Her studio collaborations have included Giorgio Moroder, Howard Hewitt and Rachel Rachel. You may recognize her from appearances on "Felicity", "Seven Days", "Freaky Links", "Melrose Place" and as the on-camera keyboardist/musical director for the FOX show "Comedy Express".

Her solo debut "A Taste of Eden" is a soulful mix of sensuality and groove and is being embraced by the European Soul Movement. The first single, "Coco Bella" is receiving airplay in the UK and Netherlands. Remi has 2 cuts featured on Café de Souls Vol. 1 compilation and a third cut "Last Night," is featured in the independent film "The Ten Rules". Remi is also a co-founder of "Music Heals" (www.musicheals.tv), an organization whose mission is to present music and art as a positive force for change. "Our aim is to inspire and promote healing and raise awareness of critical issues. We challenge our audiences to seek creative outlets and be a part of the solution."

This Minneapolis native has toured with recording artist's Christopher Cross, Teena Marie, Karyn White and David Cassidy and has worked in the studio with Morris Day (The Time) Giorgio Moroder (Donna Summers) and Howard Hewitt. For 'Eden' she teamed up with mixer Brian Reeves (Kenny Loggins, Donna Summers, Joe Cocker, David Bowie) to create her own distinctive sound.

I have been reviewing Mp3's all day, The sound on this mix jumped out at me compared to everything I've heard today, in any style! This artist has alot of adult contemporary style, and her collaboration with her engineer has really helped this production as well. This is smooth "vocal"Jazz ! Great playing as well by the artist ,Remi herself I'm pretty sure.

A cool blend of tasteful songwriting and classy vocals.
author: Chris Standring, Instinct Recording Artist
Remi presents a thoughtful blend of vocal arrangement, songwriting and highly marketable production. A project that would be worthy of consideration for the popular NAC radio genre. A most enjoyable quality CD.
