NO iPOD NEEDED... WHAT IS A PODCAST?
Marc GunnHave you ever downloaded a radio program and stored in your iPod or other MP3 Player? That's the general idea of podcasting. A podcast is a radio program in MP3 format, which means you can listen to it with any computer audio program.

Podcasting is a new technology that allows individuals like me to create our very own radio show to share with people who enjoy similar things. To make things easier, you can copy the RSS feed below, insert it into a program like iPodder or Apple iTunes and automatically download new programs as they are released.

Just transfer those MP3s to your Digital Music Recorder and you can listen to the show anywhere you go! Here's the RSS fee for this podcast:

Capture the magic of the faire
author: Barb Allshouse
For a musical experience that is as diverse as the local faires themselves, look no further than this compilation CD. This sampling has been selected from among the performers who have appeared on the bi-monthly Renaissance Festival Podcast, which can be listened to or downloaded from www.renaissancefestivalmusic.com. The podcast features music and comedy from various artists who are performing at local faires across the U.S. in any given month. Listeners may be delighted by some of their favorite performers, or they may be introduced to a new favorite, but one thing is certain: they will enjoy the variety offered on the 23-track compilation CD. The CD features standout performances that span the width and breadth of RenFaires, including a sampling of Irish and English folk music, sea shanties, and madrigal harmonies, as well as traditional faire songs and humor. Faire enthusiasts can recapture a bit of the magic of their local faire by replaying the Renaissance Festival Podcast Compilation CD, or by tuning in to the podcast online.

An eclectic mix of medieval music
author: Scott Wooldridge
This is a great mix of songs from some very talented artists. Many different genres are included in this mix. It is a great mix of folk, celtic, instrumental, rock, a cappella, and spoken word comedy. There is something in this CD for everyone. From the zany to the maudlin, from the raw to the beautiful, it is sure to please. A few notables; Marc Gunn of the Brobdingnagian Bards has a few solo works on this; The Bedlam Bards are raucous as always; Seymoure with his randy pudding song; and The Tenpenny Travelers with a great rendition of Dapper Dan. A wonderful time will be had by all.
