‘Renavox’ company presents the debut album of Rena Athanasopoulou, ‘Colourful notes on a white screen’. This cd entails 16 cinematic songs from the International as well a the Greek cinema in a collection which combines various types of songs-lyrical and artful-within a unified atmosphere that aims at drifting the audience into a world where image turns into sound and vise versa. Τhe song “For Eleutheria” is the first cd recording and performance after the permission of its composer, Sakis Tsilikis. Along with Rena, the main singer, Yiannis Athanasopoulos also appears; while are both accompanied on the piano by Grigoris Simadopoulos .

“This collection has started being formed into my mind and later into reality since my early schooling years. At first, motivated by my love for music, I had learnt to play these songs in the piano with the guidance of the relevant cds and scores. Later on, while growing up, I came to realize my deep love for these melodies which, despite their diversity in aesthetics and sound, all trigger an amazingly powerful and breathtaking mental imagery”.
