Album Notes

Rendezvous: In the early 1800’s, a meeting of mountain fur trappers with fur buyers and groups of native Americans for the purpose of trade, acquiring supplies and socializing. The Rendezvous String Band was formed sixteen years ago to perform traditional music for the Yamhill Grade School Rendezvous, a reenactment of the Rendezvous of the early 1800’s. The event is long gone, but the band is still learning to play nice together. Thanks for listening. Please support live music in your local community and schools. Dust off that old guitar or clarinet and go find some folks to play with. And may you each have the good fortune to meet as fine a set of friends as these.
